Zhibo Zhang received the B.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the Nanjing University in China in 2001, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Atmospheric Sciences from the Texas A&M University in 2004 and 2008, respectively. He joined the Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2008, working onsite in the Climate and Radiation Laboratory (613) of NASAs Goddard Space Flight Center. In 2011, he joined the Physics Department of UMBC as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Zhang was a winner of the NASAs New Investigator Program (NIP) in Earth Science in 2014, a member of the American Geophysical Union and American Meteorology Society, and also a science team member of NASAs MODIS and PACE missions.
